摘要:
A load determining device for an electrically-operated injection molding machine is provided, in which a load exerted on a movable part such as a molded product ejector (6) is detected based on the current of the ejector motor (M) or by an observer, whilst removing the influence of motor temperature. Upon start of continuous molding, a maximum load detected during retreat motion of the ejector (6) or other movable part is stored as a reference value Lr0. In every molding cycle, a maximum detected load Lra during the retraction of the ej ector (6) is determined. In the next molding cycle, load La detected during advance of the ejector (6) is corrected based on the reference value Lr0 and the maximum detected load Lra to eliminate the influence of motor temperature rise, thereby determining the load Lfx(n) during the advance of the ejector (6). When there occurs a change in temperature of the ejector driving motor (M), the load detected based on the motor current or by the observer varies even if the actual ejector load is constant. By eliminating the influence of temperature change, the load can accurately be detected.

A disturbance estimating observer is provided, which estimates a load applied to a servomotor for driving an ejector axis. When an ejector operates, the disturbance load torque estimated by the observer is sampled for each specific period (0 to j), and the data DA (0, 0) to DA (i, j) of (i+1) ejector processes are stored in a table TA in the form of cyclic storage. From this table TA, average values DB (0) to DB (j) of estimated disturbance load torques are determined in turn and they are stored in a table TB. From these average values, upper limit values DC (0) to DC (j) and lower limit values DD (0) to DD (j) of a permissible range are stored in tables TC, TD. When the determined estimated disturbance load torque has exceeded the permissible range, an abnormal load signal is outputted.

A controller of injection molding machine capable of stabilizing a peak pressure of resin appearing when an injection process is switched to a pressure-holding process, by reducing the variation of the peak pressure. Resin pressure Pr is detected at every predetermined sampling period Δt. There is a time lag between the time at which the resin pressure reaches an injection/pressure-holding switch determining resin pressure P(v-p) and the sampling time t2 at which the resin pressure that has reached the value P(v-P) is detected. Hence, a difference Ve between the detected resin pressure value Pr' and the switch determining resin pressure P(v-p) is obtained. The transition time period T in which pressure should be changed from a pressure-holding start pressure Ps to a pressure-holding pressure Pp is corrected by T = T0-α×Ve to make the transition time period T shorter when the difference Ve is greater, to thereby hold down the peak pressure Pmax. By this, the variation ΔPmax of the peak pressure Pmax is reduced. Since the pressure is kept uniform, the quality of a molded produce improves.
