摘要: A respiratory humidification system comprising:
a heater base comprising at least a chamber and a heat source, the chamber including an inlet and an outlet, the heat source configured to heat a liquid to humidify a flow of gases provided by the gases source and flowing from the inlet to the outlet of the chamber;
one or more sensors positioned at or near the chamber inlet and/or outlet and configured to monitor parameters of the flow of gases when the respiratory humidification system is in a first operating mode;
a hardware and/or software controller in electrical communication with the one or more sensors, the hardware and/or software controller configured to:
detect one or more flow anomaly conditions (3012, 3014, 3016) using the monitored parameters when the humidification system is in the first operating mode;
upon detection of the one or more flow anomaly conditions (3012, 3014, 3016), change the operating mode of the humidification system from the first operating mode (3010) to at least one second operating mode (3020) to determine a cause of the one or more flow anomaly conditions; and
determine whether the flow of gases is reverse to a normal flow of gases under normal operating circumstances of the first operating mode using the monitored parameters when the humidification system operates in the at least second operating mode (3020).-

摘要: A catheter mount (200e) is configured to be attached to a respiratory apparatus. The catheter mount includes a plurality of ports in fluid communication with each other. The plurality of ports include an interface port (300e) configured to connect to an interface tube, a conduit port (250e) configured to connect to a conduit tube, and at least one suction port (350e) configured to allow insertion of a suction catheter (160). At least one of the interface port or the conduit port are attached to a rotatable assembly (700) configured to allow the interface port and the conduit port to rotate relative to each other. The at least one suction port can be positioned to allow the suction catheter, when inserted, access to both the interface port and conduit port.

摘要: A humidification system can include a heater base (202), a chamber, and a breathing circuit. The heater base (108) includes a heater plate positioned in a recessed region, and a heat conductive portion of the chamber is configured to contact the heater plate. The heater base includes a guard (107) configured to control movement of the chamber into and out of the recessed region. The guard includes an anti-racking mechanism. The chamber includes an inlet port, an outlet port. A downward extension extends into the chamber from the inlet port, and a baffle is disposed at a lower end of the downward extension. A component of the breathing circuit can include a conduit hanging end cap for shipping and storage. The end cap can include a hanging component to allow the breathing circuit component to be hung from a medical stand. The system can detect when breathing circuits are connected in reverse.
