    摘要: A linear stimulating ray source produces stimulating rays and linearly irradiates them to a portion of a stimulable phosphor sheet, on which a radiation image has been stored. A photoelectric read-out system divides light, which is emitted from the portion of a front surface of the stimulable phosphor sheet exposed to the stimulating rays and/or the portion of a back surface of the stimulable phosphor sheet corresponding to the portion of the front surface exposed to the stimulating rays, into picture elements along a length direction of the portion exposed to the stimulating rays, and photoelectrically reads out the divided picture elements by arraying them in a two-dimensional form. A scanning system moves the stimulable phosphor sheet with respect to the linear stimulating ray source and the photoelectric read-out system and in a direction, which is approximately normal to the length direction of the portion exposed to the stimulating rays.

    摘要: An energy subtraction processing method for radiation images comprises the steps of irradiating radiation, which has a predetermined energy range, to an object, and irradiating the radiation, which has passed through the object, to a recording medium capable of recording a plurality of radiation images during its exposure to radiation with different energy distributions. A plurality of radiation images of the object are thereby recorded on the recording medium. From the recording medium on which the radiation images have been recorded, a plurality of image signals are obtained which represent the radiation images of the object. An MTF correcting process is carried out on the image signals such that differences between MTF's of the radiation images of the object may be eliminated. Subtracting operations are then carried out on image signals, which are obtained from the MTF correcting process.

    摘要: A radiation image recording and read-out apparatus using stimulable phosphor sheets. The apparatus has a circulation path (3) along which the stimulable phosphor sheets (2) are conveyed.
