摘要： A dispenser (10) for multiple rolls of web material such as paper toweling that is provided with dispensing mechanism (22) to lead a web of material out of the dispenser (10) to the user has supports (36,38) for rotatably supporting rolls in primary and reserve positions, respectively, with transfer mechanism interactive with such roll supports (36,38) and the dispensing mechanism (22) to automatically transfer web feed from one roll to the other under predetermined sensed conditions. The transfer mechanism includes a pivotally mounted transfer frame (50) swingable to be out of the way to facilitate dispenser loading with the dispenser cabinet cover (14) open, the transfer frame (50) being releasibly retained out of the way in conjunction with dispenser loading, and movable to a sensing location upon closure of the cabinet cover (14) whereat depletion of web material supplied from the roll in the primary position (P) is sensed whereafter the frame again shifts for tucking fingers (70) on the transfer frame (50) to press a web end portion of the reverse roll (R) web material into the dispensing mechanism (22) to thereafter feed web material from such reserve roll (R). A keeper bracket (72) loosely receives this web end portion incident dispenser loading with the action of cabinet cover (14) closing causing the bracket (72) to firmly grip such portion until the transfer mechanism coacts with the dispensing mechanism (22) to thereafter feed web material supplied from the reserve roll (R).

摘要： A stop mechanism for a feed roller (4) associated with a cutter in a dispenser for flexible rolled web material (W) has a stop lever (15) which provides a substantial mechanical advantage. The increased mechanical advantage permits the vacuum cups (13,14) of a vacuum cup timer to be effortlessly and reliably set. The stop lever (15) has a long actuating arm (12) which pivots about a pivot point (11). A long engagement arm (18) of the lever (15) has a camming surface (10) which is engaged by a lug (9) carried by a feed wheel (8) rotatable with the feed roller (4) in order to bring the actuating arm (12) into a position in which the vacuum cup timer is set.

摘要： A dispenser and dispensing method for flexible web material that is wound into a roll on a readily deformable hollow core (C) has a housing carrying opposed parallel guide tracks (22-24) to guidingly receive roll core supports (E,F) projecting from the roll ends and a spring biased lever (40) pivoted on such housing, the lever (40) applying an axial force to the hollow core (C) at one roll end and being maintained in a roll retaining condition by the presence, in a roll dispensing position, of a hollow roll core that is held against downward displacement from such position. An axial force (FR) is applied against the other end of the hollow core. The lever (40) serves to retain a reserve roll (R) in a reserve roll position remote from the roll dispensing position with the lever (40) being released from such retaining condition when the web material is exhausted and the hollow core (C) is deformed downwardly, assisted by the axial forces (FR) applied to the hollow core ends, to enable removal of this core (C) from the roll dispensing position whereupon such reserve roll (R) moves to the dispensing position.

摘要： A device for dispensing fluent supplies comprises an element or elements for positioning a plurality of containers (10, 20) with an open-mouth of each of the containers in a downward position. This device also comprises an element (like chamber 50) or elements for receiving supplies dispensed from the containers while the containers are positioned by the positioning element or elements in a mouth downward position. In addition, the device comprises an element (like pivoting arm 70) or elements for adjusting an elevation of an entry point of fluent supply into the supply receiving element or elements of at least one of the mouth downward containers from a first elevation to a second elevation while continuously maintaining at least this one container in an open-mouth downward position.
This allows to effectively achieve the advantage of the first container in the dispenser being the first container out of the dispenserr (FIFO). The notches are formed differently in separate circumferential portions of the handwheel such that pawl means, successively engaging the notches incident handwheel rotation, prevents reverse rotation of the feel roller throughout a first portion of each feed roller revolution and biasing means acts to cause reverse rotation throughout a second portion of the feed roller revolution to assure return of the knife means to a safe inaccessible location within the dispenser when the handwheel is released.
