摘要:
A method of predicting clinical outcome for a human subject diagnosed with colorectal cancer following surgical resection of said cancer is disclosed. A normalized expression level is determined of an RNA transcript of MYBL2, or an expression product thereof, in a biological sample comprising cancer cells obtained from said human subject. The likelihood of a positive clinical outcome for said human subject is then predicted based on said normalized expression level, wherein normalized expression of an RNA transcript of MYBL2, or an expression product thereof, is positively correlated with an increased likelihood of a positive clinical outcome.
摘要:
The invention concerns sensitive methods to measure mRNA levels in biopsied tumor tissues, including archived paraffin-embedded biopsy material. Th invention also concerns breast cancer gene sets important in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer, and methods for assigning the most optimal treatment options to breast cancer patient based upon knowledge derived from gene expression studies.
摘要:
Molecular assays that involve measurement of expression levels of prognostic biomarkers, or coexpressed biomarkers, from a biological sample obtained from a prostate cancer patient, and analysis of the measured expression levels to provide information concerning the likely prognosis for said patient, and likelihood that said patient will have a recurrence of prostate cancer, or to classify the tumor by likelihood of clinical outcome or TMPRSS2 fusion status, are provided herein.

The present invention concerns prognostic markers associated with cancer. In particular, the invention concerns prognostic methods based on the molecular characterization of gene expression in paraffin-embedded, fixed samples of cancer tissue, which allow a physician to predict whether a patient is likely to respond well to treatment with an EGFR inhibitor.
