    摘要: A chute structure (20) for a snow removing machine (10) includes first and second chutes (25, 30) connected through a hinge to each other. The hinge includes first and second hinge plates (51, 52) connected together by means of a connecting pin (53). The first hinge plate has a tubular portion (57) through which the connecting pin extends. The length of the tubular portion is substantially equal to the width of the first chute. The second hinge plate has first and second plates (63, 65). The first plate has an opening formed therein. The opening of the first plate is aligned with an entrance (71) of the tubular portion. The second plate has an opening formed therein. The opening of the second plate is aligned with an exit (72) of the tubular portion. The second hinge plate has a cover portion (66) extending between the first plate and the second plate. The cover portion is integral with the first and second plates. The cover portion covers the tubular portion. Provision of the cover portion prevents snow from being discharged from around the hinge.

    摘要: A power transmission system wherein drive power is transmitted from a drive source to an auger transmission (318) for rotating an auger, and a snow blower (321) is provided. An overload protecting mechanism (317) is located between the snow blower and the auger transmission, thereby absorbing overload to be exerted on a power delivery path between the drive shaft and the auger transmission. Thus, snow-removing operation is not interrupted even when the power delivery path encounters overload. The overload protecting mechanism may comprise, for example, either a friction coupling (317) employing a plurality of friction plates or a rubber coupling employing cushion rubbers. The overload protecting mechanism is located in a large space between the auger transmission and the snow blower, allowing existing space to be effectively utilized.

The electric motor generates little noise as compared with an engine, and contributes to downsizing of the snow removal machine. The battery supplies electrical power to the electric motor.
