This implements simultaneous data transmission between the base station device and multiple user terminals in a multi-antenna environment, and improves wireless service quality.

The present invention relates to the field of mobile communications technologies, and discloses a method for configuring a resource to a DRB, and an apparatus. The method is specifically: first determining, by a first CBS, resource configuration information used by a first DBS to separately allocate a resource to at least one DRB of UE; and then, sending, to the first DBS, a first resource allocation indication that carries the determined resource configuration information, so that the first DBS separately allocates the resource to the at least one DRB of the UE according to the resource configuration information. In this way, even if the first DBS does not have a function of a control plane, the first DBS can still configure a resource for at least one protocol entity in the first DBS according to the resource configuration information carried in the received first resource allocation indication sent by the first CBS, thereby ensuring effective running of a data/signaling separation network, and effectively implementing resource configuration for a protocol entity in a DBS according to a QoS requirement of a DRB.

In the embodiment of the invention, within coverage of network side devices on one signaling plane, when a current network side device bearing data plane information of a terminal device determines that handover from the current network side device to a target network side device is required, the current network side device performs handover confirmation with the target network side device, so that the target network side device enables a data plane information communication function with the terminal device and completes switching the bearer of the data plane information. Therefore, within the coverage of the network side devices of one signaling plane, it is allowed to switch the bearer of the data plane information only, hence implementing separate switching of data signaling. Therefore, the terminal can also access the DBS even if there is no cell ID in a cell covered by the DBS, thereby avoiding a problem that the terminal cannot access the base station when accessing the base station in a data and signaling separation network, and a problem of a relatively complex access process and a waste of processing resources in the terminal is resolved because there is no process of calculating multiple cell IDs.

The technical solution of the present invention can minimize the total power consumption of the base station in a downlink MIMO-OFDM system and reduce the energy consumption of the downlink MIMO-OFDM system.
