A winch (1) for nautical use comprises a stator body extending along a longitudinal axis (X-X) and adapted to be mounted on a sailing boat; a rotary body (20) rotatably associated with the stator body so as to be free to rotate with respect to the stator body in a first direction of rotation (R) and to be locked with respect to the stator body in an opposite direction of rotation, and a circumferential throat (30) for locking a line (100) for manoeuvring a sail of the sailing boat, the throat (30) being fixedly mounted onto the rotary body (20). The winch also comprises, in a first operative configuration thereof, an element (40) for guiding the line (100) in the throat (30). The element (40) defines, at the throat (30), a maximum radial dimension of the winch. According to the invention, in a second operative configuration of the winch the maximum radial dimension of the winch at the throat (30) is given by the maximum diameter of the throat (30). Such a winch operates, in the first operative configuration thereof, like a conventional self-tailing winch. With respect to these, however, the winch of the invention allows the line (100) to be released and completely freed from the winch by simply pulling the line upwards, and thus in an extremely quicker and easier way. Indeed, in the second operative configuration of the winch the guide element (40) is removed or moved away from the position taken up in the first operative configuration, so as not to hinder the unwinding of the line (100) from the rotary body (20) when the line is pulled upwards.

The invention refers to a motion transmission system from at least one pedestal (1) to at least one winch (9), for manoeuvring the ropes of sails in sailing boats, comprising speed multiplier means (3,4) housed in said at least one pedestal (1). The present invention allows there to be a reduced torque value along the entire kinematic path from said at least one pedestal (1) to said at least one winch (9). This allows lower quality and smaller sized (thickness) components to be used, with obvious advantages in terms of reduction of the costs and of the total weight on board the sailing boat.

The invention relates to a control system (1) for a motorised winch (2), preferably for nautical use, with two or more speeds. The motorised winch (2), in particular, comprises a main motion input shaft (10), a drum (20) for winding a line (100) and a plurality of gears (25) operatively arranged between the main shaft (10) and the drum (20) and adapted to define in the winch (2) at least two different gear ratios. Motor means (3) are active on the aforementioned main shaft (10) for transmitting the motion to the winch (2). The control system (1) of the invention comprises detector means (40, 41 ,42, 43, 44) adapted to identify the gear ratio active in the winch (2) and control means (50) active on the motor means (3) to adjust the torque and/or speed delivered by the motor means (3) based upon the detected gear ratio. In particular, the control means (50) act on the motor means (3) to increase the torque and/or speed delivered to the winch (2) when a long gear ratio is active in the winch (for example, in the case of three-speed winches, when the first or second speed is selected), whereas they do not act when a short gear ratio is active in the winch (for example, when the third speed is selected). In this way, the performance of the winch at the longer gear ratios is improved, allowing in particular the winch to bear, at such gear ratios, a traction load on the line greater than that which can be borne, the gear ratio selected being equal, by known winches.

The invention refers to a winch (1) for sailing boats comprising a stator body adapted to be integrally mounted on a deck (2) of a sailing boat and a rotor body (3) coaxially and rotatably fitted on the stator body along a primary shaft extended along a first direction (x). The rotor body (3) comprises a body portion (5) adapted to receive the windings of a control rope (4) of a sail of the sailing boat. Such rotor body portion (5) comprises an outer lateral surface (7) wherein a plurality of recess elements (8) and a plurality of elements in relief (9) with respect to said recess elements (8) are defined. In accordance with the invention, the recess elements (8) and the relief elements (9) extend along a second direction (y) tilted at a predefined angle (α) with respect to said first direction (x).
