    摘要: An abnormality determination apparatus and method for a blow-by gas feedback device, and an engine control unit are provided for improving the accuracy of abnormality determination even when an intake air amount controller is provided in an intake system at a location downstream of a joint of a blow-by gas passage. The blow-by gas feedback device feeds a blow-by gas back to an intake system of an internal combustion engine through a blow-by gas passage connected to the intake system through a joint. The abnormality determination apparatus comprises an intake air amount sensor provided in the intake system at a location upstream of the joint for detecting an intake air amount, an intake air amount controller provided in the intake system at a location downstream of the joint for controlling the intake air amount, and an ECU for determining an abnormality of the blow-by gas feedback device based on the intake air amount detected by the intake air amount sensor after the intake air amount has changed due to the operation of the intake air amount controller.

The apparatus includes a unit for extracting a frequency response corresponding to the detecting signal from an output of the exhaust gas sensor of the engine, the output being responsive to the calculated final fuel injection amount. A condition of the exhaust gas sensor is determined based on the extracted frequency response.

    摘要: A power generation control system (1) for an internal combustion engine (3), is capable of preventing occurrence of vibration of the engine (3) when the engine (3) is being stopped and improving fuel economy through electric power generation as much as possible. The power generation control system (1) disengages a clutch (7) for a predetermined time period after satisfaction of idle stop conditions, and inhibits electric power generation by a generator (8), to thereby prevent sharp reduction of engine speed. Further, an ISV (13) opening is controlled to a predetermined very small value close to 0. This makes it possible to prevent occurrence of vibration of the engine (3) at an idle stop. Further, when the engine speed becomes not larger than a threshold value, electric power generation is started, whereby it is possible to secure a time period over which electric power generation is executed to improve fuel economy through electric power generation.
