A mobile communication method based on an A-interface is disclosed. The method includes: establishing an IP bearer channel between a BSS and a core network, where the IP bearer channel passes through an A-interface; and transmitting data between the BSS and the core network through the IP bearer channel, during which the BSS performs no codec conversion. An A-interface based mobile communication system, a mobile communication core network, and a BSS are disclosed. The technical solution under the present invention enhances the conversation quality, reduces the cost of network construction, and improves the utilization ratio of bandwidth.

Embodiments of the present invention provide a service rate adjustment method and an apparatus. The service rate adjustment method in the present invention includes: receiving actual transmission capability information of a base station sent by the base station; and adjusting a service rate of a transmit end according to the actual transmission capability information and the service rate of the transmit end that sends service data to the base station. According to the embodiments of the present invention, rate adjustment for the transmit end that sends service data to the base station can be implemented, so that the service rate of the transmit end that sends the service data to the base station matches an actual transmission capability of the base station, thereby improving data transmission quality.

The method includes: receiving a code handover instruction from a base station system (BSS), where the code handover instruction carries a new code type and a new BSS user plane connection endpoint identifier, adding a new core network (CN) user plane connection endpoint according to the instruction, and receiving and sending a speech packet of the new code type through the new CN user plane connection endpoint and a BSS user plane connection endpoint corresponding to the new BSS user plane connection endpoint identifier. With the present invention, after the A-interface becomes IP-based and when the BSS performs an internal code handover, the BSS interacts with the mobile switching center (MSC) on the CN to hand over the codes between the BSS and the CN synchronously.

A method for establishing a bearer for a GSM network is disclosed in embodiments of the present invention. The method includes: receiving, by a Media Gateway, a message for adding a wireless side end point, assigning an IP address and a port number for a call and transmitting a response message containing the IP address and the port number assigned for the call; acquiring, by the Media Gateway, the IP address and the port number assigned for the call by the Base Station Controller via the Mobile Switching Center Server and establishing an IP bearer with the Base Station Controller. A device and a system for establishing a bearer for a GSM network are also disclosed in embodiments of the present invention. With the present invention, a full or part path transcoder-free operation may be realized, which can avoid quality reduction and transmission delay caused by multiple transcodings of voice and save TC resources and transmission resources.

A method and an apparatus for processing a multiplexing packet with Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP) header compression are disclosed. The method includes: receiving a multiplexing packet with RTP header compression transmitted by a transmitter; decompressing the received multiplexing packet with RTP header compression into at least one packet according to a transport format for multiplexing with RTP header compression corresponding to the transmitter; and transmitting the at least one packet to a receiver. The embodiments of the present invention bring these benefits: The transport format for multiplexing with RTP header compression corresponding to each network device such as a Media Gateway (MGW), a Base Station Controller (BSC) and a Radio Network Controller (RNC) is employed on the corresponding network device, and the multiplexing packet with RTP header compression can be exchanged between the radio-side Iu/A interface and the Nb interface.
