In the present invention, a controlling capacity of an IMS and a bearer capacity of an MBMS are multiplexed based on an IMS system and an MBMS system to achieve IPTV services, so as to achieve the uniform authorization and uniform network management. The binding of the IPTV service with other services based on the IMS can be achieved by using the IMS, and personalized services can be provided to UEs.

A method for Instant Message (IM) delivery status notification is provided, which includes the following steps. An IM message which is sent by a calling party and carries an IM identifier is received, and the IM message is transformed into a Short Message Service (SMS) message which is then sent to an SMS Service Center (SMS-SC). A corresponding relationship between the IM identifier and an SMS identifier corresponding to the SMS message is established. An SMS status report which is sent by the SMS-SC and carries the SMS identifier is received. After the IM identifier corresponding to the SMS identifier is retrieved based on the established corresponding relationship between the IM identifier and the SMS identifier, an IM delivery status noficication message carrying the IM identifier is generated and sent to the calling party. Thus, the calling party is enabled to acquire whether the IM message sent by the calling party is received by a called party.

A method, a system, and an apparatus for creating a Content-on-Demand (CoD) service are disclosed herein. The method includes: receiving a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) service request sent by a User Equipment (UE); converting the SIP service request into a Real-Time Streaming Protocol (RTSP) service request, and sending the RTSP service request to a server; receiving an RTSP service response sent by the server; and converting the RTSP service response into a SIP service response, and sending the SIP service response to the UE to create the CoD service between the UE and the server. Through the embodiments of the present invention, the SIP-based mobile terminal can enjoy streaming services under control of IMS, and the IMS is applied to the mobile terminal environment.

The present invention provides method, system and apparatus for forking transmission of Short Message Service (SMS) messages in IP Multimedia Subsystems (IMS) networks, where a forking indication indicating whether forking is to be employed is carried in a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) message in which the SMS message is encapsulated or which carries the content of the SMS message. The method includes: receiving an SMS message, constructing a SIP message in which the SMS message is encapsulated or which carries the content of the SMS message, and which includes a forking indication indicating whether forking shall be employed; sending the SIP message to a Service-Call Session Control Function (S-CSCF) in an IMS network; and determining by the S-CSCF whether forking shall be employed according to the forking indication. The method and system of the present invention enables the control over the SMS message from the Circuit Switched (CS) domain so that the SMS message can be sent through forking in the IMS domain to more than one user terminal.

The present invention discloses a method for delivering short messages in an IMS. The method includes: The sender encapsulates multiple concatenated short message segments into an IMS message, and sends the IMS message to the receiver; upon receiving the IMS message, the receiver extracts the short message from the IMS message. The present invention also discloses a system and apparatus for delivering short messages in an IMS. Through the embodiments of the present invention, the receiver can obtain a complete short message upon receiving the message. Besides, the present invention overcomes the problem that assembling multiple short message segments in the case of interworking between a short message and a SIP message cannot be realized at a receiver. Furthermore, the present invention reduces the number of SIP messages brought by short message segmentation in the IMS domain, thus decreasing the load on the network.
