A system for allocating an SFID in a WiMAX network is also provided. According to the method and system for allocating an SFID in a WiMAX network, after an MSS performs a handover, it is not necessary to notify a function module generating an SFID to release the SFID, thereby simplifying the SFID management.

The network coding information includes second indication information used to indicate a QoS flow on which network coding is to be performed. In the method, a method for applying network coding to a mobile communication network is provided, and a core network may indicate to perform network coding on a QoS flow, so that a data transmission delay is reduced while transmission reliability of the QoS flow is improved.

In this application, in a scenario in which a handover occurs between UPFs corresponding to UE, the UE may access a local application server corresponding to a UPF after the handover.
