It is intended to clarify a molecule which is available as a target in treating or diagnosing cancer and utilize the molecule in the medical field or the research field. By treating IgSF4, which has been identified as a molecule specifically expressed in lung cancer cells, with an antibody, an ADCC activity is exerted. Based on this finding, an anti-IgSF4 antibody is provided as a means efficacious in treating cancer, etc.

It is intended to provide a camel antibody library sustaining the multiplicity in the antibody variable region genes in vivo in animals belonging to the family Camelidae. The multiplicity in the variable region genes in vivo can be achieved by, for example, mixing genes originating in a plural number of individuals or elaborating gene amplification conditions. Although VHH with restricted multiplicity repertory can be merely obtained by known methods, a library containing genes encoding functional VHH in a sufficiently large repertory size can be successfully provided. Thus, a library whereby VHH against an arbitrary antigen can be freely obtained is provided. VHH is excellent in solubility and stability and shows a reactivity which cannot be expected in case of conventional tetramer IgG.

An affinitive linker is introduced into a target substance and captured by a binding partner capable of binding to the affinitive linker to thereby select a binding molecule capable of binding to the target substance. For example, a sugar chain contained in an influenza virus antigen is labeled with an affinitive linker such as biotin and allowed to bind to streptpavidin serving as a binding partner and then recovered. Thus, an antibody binding to the antigen can be easily concentrated. This method of selecting a binding molecule is useful in screening a neutralizer.
