    摘要: Thermo-optic apparatuses and techniques that may be used in external csviuy lasers are provided. A wevelength selection device (125) may be placed in the external cavity and may include a thermally responsive substrate (134) and tunable optical elements (130, 132) extending therefrom. Heating and heat monitoring actuators (214, 216) may be formed in the substrate itself, with the tunable optical elements being mechanically positioned in the recesses (210, 212) of the substrate for thermo-optic tuning. In some examplese, a seperate optical pate length adjustment element is also placeed in there thermally responsive substrate, or elsewhere, for separate frequency tuning. This adjustment element may be part of a control that is detangled from the normal servo controls used in laser tuning.

    摘要: Technologies for virtual machine migration are disclosed. A plurality of virtual machines may be established on a source node at varying tiers of quality-of-service. The source node may identify a set of virtual machines from the plurality of virtual machines having a lower or lowest tier of quality-of-service. Additionally, the source node may perform a pseudo-migration for each of the virtual machines of the identified set to determine a dynamic working set for each corresponding virtual machine. The source node may select a virtual machine for migration based on the dynamic working set. The pseudo migration may include emulation of a pre-copy phase of a corresponding live migration to identify the number of dirty memory pages likely to result during the corresponding live migration of the corresponding virtual machine.

    摘要: An apparatus for transceiver multiplexing over USB Type-C interconnects is described herein. The apparatus includes a processor, a memory, a USB Type-C connector, a first transmitter, a multiplexed transmitter, a multiplexed receiver, and an on-die inductor. The multiplexed transmitter, when disabled, enables the multiplexed receiver to be in communication over a channel with a second transmitter over the USB Type C connector. The multiplexed receiver, when disabled, enables the multiplexed transmitter to be in communication over the channel with a receiver over the USB Type-C connector. The on-die inductor is disposed in serial with the multiplexed transmitter, and disposed in parallel with the multiplexed receiver. The on-die inductor reduces: effective shunt capacitance and insertion loss between the multiplexed transmitter and the channel; effective shunt capacitance and insertion loss between the channel and the multiplexed receiver.
