    摘要: In order to require only a relatively small increase in data rate when the number of channels of multi-channel digitalised and bit rate reduced audio signals is increased, the psychoacoustic concealment by at least part of the remaining audio channels or the redundancy of individual audio channels is taken advantage of in each individual audio channel when reducing the bit rate of audio signals having more than two audio channels. Only those parts of the concerned audio channel are transmitted or stored which are not concealed by the audio signals of other audio channels or which are contained in the audio channels for stereophonic reproduction with all types of reproduction available for selection. In addition, the used parts are transmitted or stored with a resolution only big enough for the totality of all audio channels to keep concealed the quantization noise generated during quantization in all types of reproduction available for selection.

    摘要: In oder to find the overall monitoring threshold (6) during a bit-rate-reducing source coding of digitised audio signals (1), a requantization and coding regulation for the time or spectral scanning values (2) of the audio signal is found from the masking effect of all relevant maskers and noise maskers (100, 200, 300) and from the steady audio threshold (400). To this end the masking sides (101, 102, 201, 202, 301, 302) of the selected maskers are segmented and approximated in the individual segments by low-order polynomials, whereby the coefficients of the low-order polynomials are found. The intensities of the maskers converted into a logarithmic level are used to find the coefficients of the low-order polynomials. The overall monitoring threshold (6) is found at individual or eventually selected support points in steps, masker by masker, from the polynomials describing the masking sides of the eventually selected maskers.

    摘要: The invention relates to a peer-to-peer (P2P) system, wherein in each transmitting peer (10) the incoming data stream is divided logically or chronologically into different parts, which are buffered in a volatile memory (13) and are transmitted to the receiving peers (20, 30) on different paths by means of a peer-to-peer transmission mechanism (40). In a receiving peer (20), the received parts of the subdivided data stream are buffered in a volatile memory (21) and are reassembled into a complete data stream. Furthermore, in the received peer (20), the parts of the subdivided data stream buffered by the volatile memory (21) are copied to a persistent memory (22), from which said parts are copied back to the volatile memory (21) at a later time if necessary. In order to reduce the extent of the data to be stored persistently, it is proposed that a portion of the received data be excluded from the persistent storage, wherein said exclusion occurs by selecting parts of the subdivided data stream. For this purpose, the selection can preferably be made in the transmitting peer (10), where the selected portion is separated from the remaining data of the subdivided data and is diverted to a secondary transmission mechanism (50). Alternatively, the selection can be made in the receiving peer (20), where the selected portion is separated from the received data buffered there and is deleted.
