The aim of the invention is to satisfy the demand of public radio and free-to-air programs in relation to non-coded processing and/or reproduction and/or storage of freely accessible contents for the final user in a uniform system in order to transfer and capture coded or non-coded sound and/or image contents. As a result, a special instruction (3) adapts user authorisation information (2) which contains the reception signal. The instruction (3) signalises at reception that the end user should dispose the sound and/or image content in a non-coded manner. User authorisation information (2) is still added even with optionally, cascaded, coded transfer of sound and image content or is logically linked by suitable measurements when they are simultaneously transferred in a physically separated manner from the image and/or sound content. The special instruction (3) triggers a decoding of the image and/or sound content at least at the end of the retransferring cascade during the processing and/or reproduction and/or storage of the image and/or sound content which is further transferred in the coded form.

In oder to find the overall monitoring threshold (6) during a bit-rate-reducing source coding of digitised audio signals (1), a requantization and coding regulation for the time or spectral scanning values (2) of the audio signal is found from the masking effect of all relevant maskers and noise maskers (100, 200, 300) and from the steady audio threshold (400). To this end the masking sides (101, 102, 201, 202, 301, 302) of the selected maskers are segmented and approximated in the individual segments by low-order polynomials, whereby the coefficients of the low-order polynomials are found. The intensities of the maskers converted into a logarithmic level are used to find the coefficients of the low-order polynomials. The overall monitoring threshold (6) is found at individual or eventually selected support points in steps, masker by masker, from the polynomials describing the masking sides of the eventually selected maskers.

The invention relates to a peer-to-peer (P2P) system, wherein in each transmitting peer (10) the incoming data stream is divided logically or chronologically into different parts, which are buffered in a volatile memory (13) and are transmitted to the receiving peers (20, 30) on different paths by means of a peer-to-peer transmission mechanism (40). In a receiving peer (20), the received parts of the subdivided data stream are buffered in a volatile memory (21) and are reassembled into a complete data stream. Furthermore, in the received peer (20), the parts of the subdivided data stream buffered by the volatile memory (21) are copied to a persistent memory (22), from which said parts are copied back to the volatile memory (21) at a later time if necessary. In order to reduce the extent of the data to be stored persistently, it is proposed that a portion of the received data be excluded from the persistent storage, wherein said exclusion occurs by selecting parts of the subdivided data stream. The invention describes a process for finding the receivability of radio signals in a radio system and a receiver for performing the steps required on the reception side. The invention is particularly significant for a radio system, especially a synchronised broadcasting system, as in the reception of radio transmitters in mobile recievers, e.g. in a motor vehicle, the user wants to be able to receive the desired programme at the actual point of reception quickly and reliably. With prior art systems, like the radio data signal, this is possible only to a very limited degree, for instance with traffic news. The invention makes it possible, however, to discover which programmes and/or parts thereof can be received at any point, at least for small partial areas of a zone equipped with radio transmitters, and display them for user's individual selection. This gives the user the advantage of being able to see the receivable programmes and to receive the selected programme rapidly. The invention eliminates time-consuming seeking of a desired programme.
