Le gaz de synthèse est enrichi en hydrogène par conversion du monoxyde de carbone à la vapeur, il est ensuite purifié dans une unité d'adsorption par cycles de pression pour obtenir un produit H 2 pur et un mélange gazeux résiduaire contenant CH 4 , CO, H 2 et CO 2; selon l'invention, l'étape de conversion est réalisée dans un réacteur refroidi dans lequel la chaleur de la réaction de conversion est transférée à un fluide alimentant les brûleurs du reformeur ou au gaz à reformer.

The invention concerns a method for purifying a cryogenic fluid selected from the group formed by helium, hydrogen, deuterium, argon, neon, xenon or krypton in liquid state, diphase, gaseous or supercritical, having a boiling point Pe, in one at least of its impurities having a boiling point Pe', with Pe' > Pe, comprising at least: a step of filtering at least one impurity in solid state using a mechanical filter; and a step of adsorption of at least one impurity in liquid or gaseous state; and in which at least part of the cryogenic fluid at least partially purified is recuperated, said fluid containing not more than 1 ppb of impurities. The invention also concerns a device for implementing the method.

Air purification process for removing the carbon monoxide impurities and hydrogen from the air, particularly in order to prepare high purity nitrogen, wherein (i) the air is brought in contact with a catalytic bed comprising particles of at least one metal selected among copper, platinum, palladium, osmium, iridium, ruthenium, rhenium and rhodium, supported by a support which is chemically inert with respect to water, so as to react the hydrogen and carbon monoxide impurities with the oxygen in the air in order to form respectively carbon dioxide and water; (ii) the water and carbon dioxide impurities contained in the air are removed; (iii) optionally, the nitrogen is separated from the air by cryogenic distillation. The invention also relates to a device for implementing such process.

The present invention relates to a method to operate safely a catalytic fixed bed reactor operated in upward-flow configuration by preventing fluidization of the catalyst fixed bed present in said reactor; it relates also to a method to operate safely a furnace suitable for performing endothermic reactions containing a plurality of catalytic fixed bed reactors operated in upward-flow configuration by preventing fluidization of the catalyst fixed bed, and to a method to debottleneck safely a catalytic fixed bed reactor involving a gas flowing in upflow direction where the method includes increasing the reactant gas flow in the reactor while preventing the risk of fluidization of the catalyst bed present in the reactor by preventing fluidization of the catalyst fixed bed; the prevention of the fluidization of the catalyst fixed bed comprising a step of control of a pressure drop margin remaining before fluidization of the catalytic bed.
