Abstract:
An interactive video system is disclosed that processes a video data stream and an associated data stream corresponding to the video data stream. The interactive video system displays a video image defined by the video data stream on a display device (50) and performs interactive command functions specified by the associated data stream. The interactive command functions include commands that specify placement of a video display window (40), commands that specify parameters of graphical objects (44) that are associated with the video image and commands that specify pixel data or graphics description for the graphical object and commands for placement of selection windows (42) and that specify interactive functions for the selection windows.
Abstract:
A multimedia architecture for pre-fetching data from a server provides limited-memory client machines with the ability to take advantage of a large remote database with relatively quick response time. A compiler program analyzes a given script to determine what data is needed by the current script and what potential scripts might be addressed from the current script and what server-stored data those scripts would need. That data is pre-fetched from the server upon commands from the compiler program in order to be quickly available for display at the client machine if requested by a user.
Abstract:
Data is received describing a local model of a first device generated by the first device based on sensor readings at the first device and a global model is updated that is hosted remote from the first device based on the local model and modeling devices in a plurality of different asset taxonomies. A particular operating state affecting one or more of a set of devices deployed in a particular machine-to-machine network is detected and the particular machine-to-machine network is automatically reconfigured based on the global model.
