[Object] To produce a (meth)acrylate copolymer useful as a photocurable resin composition at a temperature favorable to industrial production in a short time. [Solution] There is provided a method for producing a (meth)acrylate copolymer (X), including anionic polymerization of a mixture of a di(meth)acrylate represented by the following general formula (1) and an alkyl (meth)acrylate represented by the following general formula (2) in the presence of an organolithium compound (L), a tertiary organoaluminum compound (A) having a chemical structure represented by the general formula Al-O-Ar (wherein Ar denotes an aromatic ring) in its molecules, and at least one Lewis base (B) selected from the group consisting of ethers and tertiary polyamines.
