The invention relates to a method for producing hollow bodies from thermoplastic plastic, according to which web or strip-type preforms (1) consisting of plasticised plastic are shaped in a multi-part moulding tool (2) that forms a mould cavity and has two outer moulds (3a, 3b) and a central mould (3c), said moulds opening and closing in relation to one another. The central mould is provided with at least one unit for receiving and manipulating components that are to be bonded and/or positively connected to the interior of the body. The components are heated by means of a radiant heating unit prior to being fixed to the inner wall (7a) of the hollow body to be produced. Advantageously, the radiant heating unit is integrated into the central mould of the moulding tool.
