    摘要: A method is described of forming a video mosaic by a client computer on the basis of tile streams. The method may comprise comprising: determining a first tile stream identifier associated with a first tile position from a first set of tile stream identifiers and a second tile stream identifier associated with a second tile position from a second set of tile stream identifiers; said first and second sets being associated with first and second video content respectively; a tile stream identifier being associated with a tile stream comprising media data and tile position information for signaling a decoder module associated with said client computer to generate video frames comprising a tile at a tile position, said tile defining a subregion of visual content in the image region of said video frames; requesting one or more network nodes transmission of a first tile stream on the basis of the determined first tile stream identifier and transmission of a second tile stream on the basis of the determined second tile stream identifier selected; and, combining first and second media data and first and second tile position information into a bitstream decodable by said decoder module, said first and second tile position information signaling said decoder module to decode said bitstream into video frames of a video mosaic comprising a first tile at a first tile position and a second tile at a second tile position.

    摘要: A Method is described for synchronizing the output of terminals. The method according to the invention may be used in a system comprising a station, which transmits a packetized stream to at least a first and second terminal. Each terminal comprises a variable delay unit and each terminal is connected through a low-delay communication channel to at least one synchronization unit for calculating delay information. Further, each terminal is capable of determining media reference information of a received media unit from the stream. The method comprising the steps of providing one or more low delay communication channels between the terminals and a synchronization unit; the synchronization unit calculating delay information on the basis of synchronization information received from the terminals via the one or more low delay communication channels; and transmitting the delay information to at least one of the terminals allowing the at least one terminal to delay its output such that the output of the terminals are substantially synchronized.

    摘要: Method, system, converter and switch for communication in asynchronous transmission mode (ATM) between a source end station (13) and a destination end station (14) by means of information cells and data cells following the information cells, the information cells representing a signalling message containing an information element (IE) which contains an indication of a requested kind of traffic contract (ATC) for, in accordance therewith, processing the data cells. When a kind of traffic contract requested from a switch of the system or from the destination end station is not supported, but a kind of traffic contract which is not more unfavourable than a kind of traffic contract requested by the source end station (13) is supported, the signalling message is converted, the requested kind of traffic contract being replaced by the other kind of traffic contract as the new requested kind of traffic contract, in such a way that eventually there is converted back to the kind of traffic contract supported by the destination end station (14), which is equal to the kind of traffic contract requested by the source station. After each conversion, the data cells of a traffic flow received are processed in accordance with the kind of traffic contract to which there is converted.
