摘要: Method and system of providing video data to a video player apparatus are described, wherein the method includes the steps of a processor of the video processing apparatus receiving a video frame; the processor receiving viewpoint information from the video player apparatus, the viewpoint information defining a bounded viewport area of pixels in the video frame; the processor generating a processed video frame on the basis of the viewpoint information, the generating including reducing the entropy of pixel values in the video frame by changing pixel values of pixels that are located outside the viewport area;
the processor encoding the processed video frame into a bitstream and providing the bitstream to a video transmission apparatus associated with the video processing apparatus; and, the video transmission apparatus transmitting the bitstream to the video player apparatus.-

摘要: Methods and systems of processing content by a client are described wherein the method includes: receiving scene information defining two or more viewpoints in a scene, each of the two or more viewpoints being associated with an area in the scene and with a plurality of quality versions of video content, the video content defining one or more views in the scene associated with a viewpoint; receiving position information associated with a user of a playback device, the position information defining at least a user position and, optionally, a viewing direction of the user in the scene; if the user position is outside the areas associated with the two or more viewpoints, then selecting first content of a first quality associated with a first viewpoint and second content of a second quality associated with a second viewpoint in the scene based on the position information and the scene information; sending a request to a server system, the request comprising information about the first content of the first quality and the second content of the second quality and, optionally, the position and/or viewing direction of the user in the scene; and, receiving, in response to the request, video frames comprising the first and second content for generating synthesized content on the basis of the first and second content, wherein the synthesized content is associated with the position of the user in the scene; or, receiving video frames comprising synthesized content associated with the position of the user in the scene, wherein the synthesized content is synthesized based on the first and second content.

摘要: Media content may be streamed as a media stream via a network from a server system to a client system. The client system may comprise a buffer for buffering incoming packets of the media stream. At the server system, a part of the media content may be detected which is to be played out uninterruptedly. Via the network, the client system may be signaled ahead of the playout of the part of the media content to temporarily increase a buffer occupancy its the buffer. This way, the chance of uninterrupted playout of the part may be increased, without the client system having to structurally increase its buffer occupancy during playout. This way, the disadvantages of such structural increases may be avoided or reduced in severity.

摘要: A method of processing content data is described comprising: receiving content data, preferably the content data representing video data, texture data for a 3D model, text or a 3D data defining a 3D model, to be processed by a rendering device, preferably an extended reality XR rendering device; receiving or determining adaptation information associated with the content data, the adaptation information including a target affect parameter value and one or more adaptation rules, an adaptation rule defining an adaptation process for adapting the content data or for adapting the processing of the content data to cause a change in the emotional state of a user of the rendering device; receiving or determining a measured affect value, wherein the measured affect value is determined based on sensor information of one or more sensors configured to measure an emotional state of a user of the rendering device, preferably the one or more sensors being part of the rendering device and/or wirelessly connected to the rendering device; and, adapting the content data to be processed by the rendering device or adapting the processing of the content data by the rendering device based on the measured affect value, the affect target parameter value and at least one of the one or more adaptation rules.
