The method comprises: acquiring sensor data associated with at least one of a food preparation session of a user and a calibration session of the user or of an environment of the user; determining, based on the sensor data, one or more first characteristics; acquiring user input data associated with one or more second characteristics; generating or updating a user profile based on the acquired sensor data and user input data, the user profile includes one or more profile characteristics, the one or more profile characteristics including at least a first characteristic and a second characteristic; acquiring at least one scene of an instructional video; and modifying one or more aspects of the at least one acquired scene based on the user profile.
