摘要: The present invention relates to vessel segmentation. In order to provide an improved way of providing segmentation information with reduced X-ray dose, an X-ray image processing device (10) is provided that comprises an interface unit (12), and a data processing unit (14). The interface unit is configured to provide a sequence of time series angiographic 2D images of a vascular structure obtained after a contrast agent injection. The data processing unit is configured to determine an arrival time index of a predetermined characteristic related to the contrast agent injection for each of a plurality of determined pixels along the time series, and to compute a connectivity index for each of the plurality of the determined pixels based on the arrival time index. The data processing unit is configured to generate segmentation data of the vascular structure from the plurality of the determined pixels, wherein the segmentation data is based on the connectivity index of the pixels. The data processing unit is configured to provide the segmentation data for further purposes.

摘要: The present invention relates to a device for determining a volume of projection of a dual-axis computed tomography system with at least one shutter, the device (1) comprising: an interface unit (2); a projection module (3); and a position determination module (4); wherein the interface unit (2) is configured to receive a volume of interest (44) for a computed tomography image showing an object (22); wherein the projection module (3) is configured to determine a volume of projection (41,42,46) of a detector (16) based on different simulated positions of the detector (16) on a trajectory around the object (22) and based on a variable simulated position of at least one shutter (15); and wherein the position determination module (4) is configured to determine the simulated position of the at least one shutter (15) for each determined simulated position of the detector (16) such that the volume of projection (41, 42, 46) corresponds to the volume of interest (44). The present invention avoids that parts of an object of interest are unintentionally not imaged in dual-axis computed tomography imaging whilst reducing x-ray absorption to parts of the object outside the volume of interest (44) and provides improved insight in the volume of projection (41, 42, 46) of a dual-axis trajectory acquisition.

摘要: The present invention relates to iso-centering an object of interest prior to computer tomography (CT) scanning for examination of a patient in a C-arm CT examination apparatus. In order to provide facilitated positioning and to overcome or at least minimize these drawbacks, a C-arm CT examination apparatus (10) for CT scanning for examination of a patient is provided. The apparatus comprises a patient support unit, an acquisition unit, a data processing and control unit, and a display unit. The patient support unit is configured to bed a patient, free of motion, on the patient support. The acquisition unit is configured to acquire scout images of the patient including the object of interest in a respective position of the apparatus having position parameters. The data processing and control unit is configured to store the images and at least one respective position parameter including the iso-center position relative to the image; and to adjust the position of the apparatus roughly into a present position for CT scanning of the object of interest; and to select at least one iso-centering image from the stored images and, by geometrical calculation using, firstly, the at least one stored position parameter of the iso-centering image including the stored iso-center position and using, secondly, at least one position parameter of the present position of the apparatus including the present iso-center, adopting the appearance of the at least one iso-centering image, such that the appearance of the iso-centering image is according to the present position of the C-arm including the present iso-center. The display unit is configured to display the at least one adopted image on a display device together with and relative to a representation of the present iso-center for iso-centering.

A data processing system of the imaging system generates an output image, based on each of the images. In the output image, artefacts generated by the anti-scatter arrangement, are reduced, suppressed or eliminated compared to the first and the second image.
