The invention relates to a textile sheetlike structure impregnated with an antimicrobial active ingredient solution. The active ingredient solution comprises bispyridiniumalkane. A content of nonionic bispyridiniumalkane and/or amphoteric surfactant in the active ingredient solution prevents the adsorption of the bispyridiniumalkane on the synthetic support material of the sheetlike structure. Preferred support materials are polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and polypropylene (PP). In addition, the invention relates to the use of these additives in such an active ingredient solution for reducing the adsorption of the bispyridiniumalkanes on the synthetic support material. Furthermore, the invention relates to a kit of synthetic support material and antimicrobial active ingredient solution for producing such sheetlike structures.

According to the invention, it is possible that the disinfectant composition is not contaminated with spores or other germs also after the container has been opened, even upon repeated discharge from the container.

The wound covering is suitable in particular for use in the antisepsis of catheter insertion points. The active ingredient octenidine dihydrochloride is released from the hydrogel quickly, but in a long-lasting manner. The invention also relates to a wound covering set and to a hydrogel comprising octenidine dihydrochloride for use for the antisepsis of catheter insertion points.

By using the bispyridinium alkanes the foam stability of liquid and surfactant-containing compositions is increased.
