Dosage forms comprising tadalafil adsorbed on a particulate carrier. Furthermore it is disclosed an adsorbate comprising tadalafil adsorbed on a particulate carrier. The present invention also refers to a process for the preparation of the adsorbate comprising the steps of (a) providing an API being practically insoluble in water; (b) providing solid support carrier particles; (c) placing the API and the carrier particles into a predetermined solvent which, allows adsorption of the API on the surface of carrier particles but gives substantially no precipitate, and (d) removing the solvent to form an API-carrier adsorbate.
