摘要： The present invention discloses novel and useful intermediates for the synthesis of ezetimibe (EZT), which intermediates share a characteristic Z-isomeric structure. Based on Z-5-(4-fluorophenyl)-pent-4-enoic acid, and proceeding the synthesis through further Z-intermediates, a total synthesis is presented to obtained final ezetimibe in high yields.
