Provided is an ophthalmic lens, from which the elution of a coloring agent can be prevented effectively even when the ophthalmic lens is produced by polymerizing a polymerizable composition containing the coloring agent or when the ophthalmic lens is produced by printing an ink composition containing a coloring agent on a lens precursor by a know printing technique such as an inkjet printing method to allow the coloring agent to penetrate into the lens precursor. The ophthalmic lens is produced using a non-polymerizable compound represented by a specific structural formula as a coloring agent.

Provided is a colored contact lens in which a colored band (22) is disposed at a boundary part between a dark part (12) and a white part (14) of an eye, and a density is gradually changed from the dark part to the white part of the eye such that the density of this colored band (22) decreases from an inner circumference side to an outer circumference side. As a result, a novel colored contact lens is provided with which it is possible to bring out beauty of the white part (14) of the eye, which has been ignored by conventional technology, while an impression is maintained that is as natural and elegant as possible by avoiding an artificial impression such as that found in conventional technology.

A contact lens excellent in optical property, offering favorable feeling during the use thereof, and capable of continuous uses, which is composed of a hard portion in the central part and a soft portion in the periphery of the central part is provided. The contact lens comprising two kinds of polymers and having a hard portion arranged in the central part thereof and a soft portion arranged in the periphery of the central part, wherein a monomer mixture forming the hard portion contains at least one silicone-containing monomer, and the monomer mixture forming the hard portion and a monomer mixture forming the soft portion each contain at least one common hydrophilic monomer.
