摘要:
This invention relates to improved processes for hydrotreating resid. Blending lower boiling petroleum fractions with the resid results in enhanced rates of demetalation and/or desulfurization, with enhanced reduction of sulfur and/or metals content in the hydroprocessed resid.
摘要:
Visbreaking of heavy petroleum residual oil is carried out at high severity in the presence of hydro-aromatic solvents having H Ar hydrogen contents of at least 20 percent and H o hydrogen contents of at least 20 percent of the total hydrogen content. Typical hydrogen donor materials include FCC main column bottoms, clarified slurry oil and light cycle oils.
摘要:
Process for production of alcohol or ether by hydration of olefinic feedstock containing at least one lower alkene by contacting the olefinic feedstock and water in a hydration zone with porous solid metal oxide acidic olefin hydration catalyst under olefins hydration conditions, characterized by pretreating porous solid catalyst, such as acid zeolite, prior to contacting with the olefinic feedstock with a wetting agent containing at least one polar aliphatic oxygenated hydrocarbon to substantially wet the solid catalyst and sorb the wetting agent into pores of the solid catalyst. After initiating hydration reaction by feeding the olefinic feedstock and water, increased catalytic activity is obtained. The process is particularly useful for making isopropanol and DIPE from propylene and water.
摘要:
A solvent extract obtained from a conventional hydrocarbon solvent extraction process, for example one employing furfural as the extraction solvent, is cooled and separated by decantation to provide a pseudo-raffinate containing most of the non-aromatics and a pseudo-extract having a hydro-aromatic content of H alpha hydrogen of at least 20 percent of the total hydrogen content. The pseudo-extract is ideally suited as a hydrogen-donor for a variety of refinery operations such as visbreaking.
