A working fluid which demonstrates a preferable performance even with a small filling amount of the refrigerant of hydrocarbons containing no halogen atom such as ethane, propane, butane, iso-butane and the like into the refrigerating cycle equipment is disclosed. There is also disclosed a refrigerating cycle equipment excellent in the safety against the worst case of the refrigerant leakage, brought by the use of the above-mentioned working fluid. The working fluid comprises the refrigerant of hydrocarbons containing 2 to 4 carbon atoms and no halogen atom, and a lubricating oil for a refrigerator containing, as its main component, an ester compound which is incompatible with the above-mentioned refrigerant.

There is provided a treatment method of efficiently separating an additive component from a resin component for the purpose of treating and recycling a thermoplastic resin composition containing an additive. The treatment method includes heating and agitating the thermoplastic resin composition containing the additive together with a solvent for dissolving at least part of the additive at a temperature ranging from the glass transition temperature of the thermoplastic resin to the boiling point of the solvent inclusive, and separating and recovering the solvent in a liquid state in which at least part of the additive is dissolved, so that at least part of the additive is separated and removed from the thermoplastic resin composition.

A liquid crystal display device is provided which comprises a cell (c) unit having a pair of optically transparent substrates (1,1') each having an optically transparent electrode layer (2,2') and an alignment layer (3,3') for liquid crystal (7) formed in this order on one side of the substrate (1,1'). The paired substrates (1,1') is in spaced relation with each other and is arranged such that the respective alignment layers (3,3') are facing each other. A liquid crystal (7) is contained in the space between the paired substrates (1,1'). The alignment layers (3,3') are made of a polymer material having both a ring structure and a substituted group at side chains thereof and are subjected to rubbing treatment. The use of the alignment layers (3,3') ensures a great pretilt angle for liquid crystal molecules.
