Abstract: In a facility and a method for separating glass residues from PVB-film, comminuted material is passed through several process steps, where treating with beaters (12) in a chamber (2) is effected in one of the first steps. At the discharge end (18) of the chamber there is arranged a separation, as heavy particular material can be discharged through a perforated bottom section (19) in the chamber (2). Through an air inlet (22) at the side (15) of the chamber, air is drawn in induced by a ventilator-like impeller rotor (28) drawing air in through a central opening (26) spaced apart from the bottom section (19). Thereby, light film-like materials are carried away from the heavy particles.

Abstract: Elastomer compositions comprising uncured elastomer and reclaimed elastomer are described. In one embodiment, the compositions comprise reclaimed elastomer material (micronized rubber powder) of broad particle size distribution, which is less expensive than traditional reclaimed elastomer material with narrow particle size distribution. Further, compositions comprising reclaimed elastomer materials with broad particle size distribution perform comparably to those comprising reclaimed elastomer materials with narrow particle size distribution. In other embodiments, the compositions comprise both vulcanized and devulcanized elastomer materials. Advantageously, by using a combination of vulcanized and devulcanized material, it is possible to incorporate a greater percentage by weight of reclaimed material in to an elastomer composition, thus providing additional cost savings while maintaining high levels of mechanical properties. Further, the use of the reclaimed material reduces landfill waste resulting in a more environmentally friendly product.

Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a multilayer container in which yellowing of a regenerated polyester resin at the time of recycle is suppressed and a method for producing the same as well as a method for producing a single-layer container. Furthermore, another object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a regenerated polyester resin from the foregoing multilayer container and single-layer container. The multilayer container of the present invention includes at least one polyester resin composition layer containing a polyester resin (X) and an amino group-containing compound (A) having a yellowing-suppressing ability; and at least one polyamide resin layer containing a polyamide resin (Y).

For example, the fibrous materials can be operated on by a microorganism to produce ethanol or a by-product, such as a protein or lignin. In particular, a method of densifying a fibrous composition is disclosed, the method comprising: shearing a fiber source to provide a fibrous material; combining the fibrous material with a microorganism and/or enzyme to provide a fibrous material composition; encapsulating the composition in a substantially gas impermeable material; and removing entrapped gas from the encapsulated composition to densify the composition.
