    摘要: Disclosed is an end piece for a chromatographic column. The column end piece through which elusion agents flow comprises a bottom section, an extension limb for a discharge tube and a frit. The bottom section has a substantially funnel-shaped contour. During through-flow of the elusion agent, said frit causes a drop in pressure per longitudinal unit that is at least twice as high as the corresponding pressure drop per unit occurring in sorbent packing when the elusion agent flows through. In one of the preferred embodiments, the bottom section has a sigmoidal curve area (1a, 1b). Said curve can also be concave or convex. The inventive characteristics enable the band enlargement which arises during through-flow of the column end piece to be reduced and prevents deformed pressure profile backlash on the sorbent bed.
