A method for using a ceramic filter including dividing a plurality of through channels into a plurality of zones including an outward path and a return path by use of through channel division means disposed along a row in which water collecting cells are arranged in at least one end face of a porous body constituting the ceramic filter in a state where the through channel division means is in contact with the row, so that a mixed fluid undergoes, at least once, a passing process of passing through the outward path in which the mixed fluid flows from the first end face to the second end face of the ceramic filter, returning and then passing through the return path in which the mixed fluid flows from the second end face to the first end face, and collecting a target permeable substance after the target permeable substance permeates a separation membrane. There are provided the method for using the ceramic filter and a ceramic filter device which enable downsizing of a pump or a heater and reduction of consumption energy and cost.

A gas adsorption material has a three-dimensional structure in which a ligand (p-hydroxybenzoic acid) consisting essentially of an aromatic ring as a principal skeleton containing, a carboxyl group and a functional group capable of forming a coordinate bond, the functional group being other than the carboxyl group, and a metal nucleus (Zn) are bonded to each other at a ratio of 1 : 1 in a building unit. In the gas adsorption material, the ligand contains a hydroxyl group as the functional group other than the carboxyl group, and the carboxyl group and the functional group other than the carboxyl group are each bonded in at least one position to the metal nucleus, thereby constituting the three-dimensional structure. The gas adsorption material is produced by drying a precursor that is obtained by reacting the ligand and the metal nucleus with each other, dissolving the dried precursor in an organic solvent (acetone), heating and stirring a resultant solution to form a three-dimensional structure that includes the organic solvent as a crystal solvent, and removing the crystal solvent.

A honeycomb structure 20 according to the present invention is produced by a method for manufacturing a honeycomb structure, the method including the steps of burying a burial base material into pores of a porous honeycomb base material which is provided with a partition portion 22 constituting a plurality of cells 23 and which has a SiC phase and an oxide phase containing a Si oxide, where the burial base material contains metal Si particles having a particle diameter smaller than the pore diameter of the pore and metal Al particles having a particle diameter smaller than the pore diameter of the pore, and melting the metal Si particles and the metal Al particles, which are contained in the burial base material, by heating the porous honeycomb base material including the buried burial base material in an inert atmosphere, so as to form a metal phase containing metal Si and metal Al in pores of the porous honeycomb base material.
