Abstract: This stabilizer (1) is formed using a solid metal rod, is for suppressing left/right wheel displacement, and is provided extending in the vehicle width direction. The diameter of a torsion section (1a) that twist-deforms is 10-32 mm. The stabilizer has a chemical composition including at least 0.15%-0.39% by mass C and including at least Mn, B, and Fe. At least 90% of the metal structure thereof has a martensite structure.

Abstract: The present invention provides a production method for stabilizers that enables highly productive production on a compact production line, without performing annealing. This production method for stabilizers is characterized by including: a step in which a steel rod material including at least Mn, B, Fe, and 0.15-0.39 mass% of C is bent and molded into a product shape; and a step in which the steel rod material is tempered using a medium that has thermal conductivity that is at least equivalent to water or similar to water.

Abstract: A leaf spring device (1) includes a main leaf (20) made of a steel plate including an elastic section (20b) configured to generate elastic force when bent; and an eye section (20a) formed in an end portion of the elastic section (20b), the elastic section (20b) and the eye section (20a) being tempered. There is also provided a method for manufacturing the leaf spring device (1). The eye section (20a) is formed by rolling the end of the elastic section (20b) into a circular form. The eye section (20a) is tempered at a higher temperature than the elastic section (20b).
