摘要: [OBJECT] To prevent friction bodies from rotating at their attached places. [MEANS] A brake lining for a railroad car in which a frictional surface of a brake disc is pressed by a brake caliper. The invention comprises friction bodies 11 pressed against the frictional surface of the brake disc, and a back plate 12 mounted to the caliper so as to support the friction bodies 11. The friction bodies 11 are distributed such that two or more thereof are arranged in a radial direction and in a circumferential direction of the brake disc. Each of the friction bodies 11 is formed with a friction material 11a which contacts the frictional surface of the brake disc, and with a base plate 11b attached on the back plate 12 side of the friction material 11a. The base plate 11b has a protrusion 11ba formed on the back plate 12 side. On the friction body 11 side of the back plate 12 there is formed a groove 12b which contacts the protrusion 11ba formed on the base plate 11b. A disc spring 14 or a spherical-seated structure 15 is disposed between the base plate 11b of each friction body 11 and the back plate 12. [ADVANTAGEOUS EFFECT] Friction bodies can be prevented from rotating at their attached places, without adding new components.

摘要: There is provided steel for wheel having a chemical composition consisting of, by mass percent, C: 0.65 to 0.84%, Si: 0.02 to 1.00%, Mn: 0.50 to 1.90%, Cr: 0.02 to 0.50%, V: 0.02 to 0.20%, and S: 0.04% or less, in which 34 ‰¤ 2.7 + 29.5 × C + 2.9 × Si + 6.9 × Mn + 10.8 × Cr + 30.3 × Mo + 44.3 × V ‰¤ 43, and 0.76 × exp (0.05 × C) × exp (1.35 × Si) × exp (0.38 × Mn) × exp (0.77 × Cr) × exp (3.0 × Mo) × exp (4.6 × V) ‰¤ 25, the balance being Fe and impurities, and the impurities containing P: 0.05% or less, Cu: 0.20% or less, and Ni: 0.20% or less. This steel for wheel is excellent in balance between the wear resistance, rolling contact fatigue resistance and the spalling resistance, and can give a long life to the wheel.

摘要: [OBJECT] To protect an elastic member and to perform a uniform surface pressure function. [MEANS] A brake lining for a railroad car being pressed by a brake caliper against a sliding surface of a brake disc body mounted on to an axleor a brake disc bolted to a wheel, which is pressed by a brake caliper. There are provided friction members 11 which are pressed onto the sliding surface of a brake disc, and a back plate 12 which is attached to the brake caliper in order to support the friction members 11. The friction members 11 are dividedly arranged in a radial direction and in a circumferential direction of the brake disc. A disc spring 13 is disposed between each respective friction member 11 and the back plate 12. An outer peripheral surface of the friction members facing the back plate is formed in a convex curved shape in an area outside the elastic member. When a light pressing force is applied, a pressing force is transmitted from the back plate 12 to the friction members 11 via the disc springs 13. When a heavy pressing force is applied, the back plate 12 and a rounded surface portion 11a make contact, thereby directly transmitting a pressing force to the friction members 11. [ADVANTAGEOUS EFFECT] It becomes possible to achieve a uniform surface pressure and to prevent deformation and deterioration of the elastic members.

摘要: A disc brake for railway vehicles includes: a brake disc fixed to a wheel or an axle of a railway vehicle; and a brake lining configured to be pressed against a frictional surface of the brake disc by a brake caliper, the brake lining including: a plurality of friction members arranged to be spaced from each other, each of the friction members having a surface that faces the frictional surface of the brake disc; a metallic backing secured to back surfaces of the friction members; and a base plate supporting the friction members on the back surface side via spring members, the base plate being mounted to a brake caliper; wherein the friction members are provided in pairs with each pair being formed by two adjacent ones of the friction members, and the metallic backing is a one-piece member provided for each pair of the friction members. The thus configured disc brake can achieve uniform contact pressure between the brake lining and the brake disc during braking operation while at the same time achieving a stable coefficient of friction between them, so that the durability and reliability are enhanced.
