    摘要： A bearing apparatus for a driving wheel of vehicle comprising a hub wheel (1), a constant velocity universal joint (3), and a double row rolling bearing (2) which are assembled as a unit, one of the inner raceway surfaces (4a,14a) being formed on the outer circumferential surface of the hub wheel, the other of the inner raceway surfaces being formed on the outer circumferential surface of the outer joint member, the hub wheel (1) and the outer joint member being fitted each other with one end surface being abutted against the shoulder of the outer joint member, the inner circumferential surface at the fitting portion of the hub wheel being formed with a hardened irregular portion, the hub wheel and the outer joint member being integrally connected via plastic deformation of the outer joint member with making the hardened irregular portion to bite into the outer circumferential surface at the fitting portion of the outer joint member (14) by radially outwardly expanding the fitting portion of the outer joint member characterized in that the outer circumferential surface of the outer joint member (14) is formed with a hardened layer at least at a region including the inner raceway surface and the shaft portion except for the fitting portion of the outer joint member.

    摘要： A wheel bearing device comprises a hub ring (41), a double-row bearing (42) and a constant velocity joint (43). At least the hub ring (41) and the double-row bearing (42) are united together. The hub ring (41) and the constant velocity joint (43) are fitted through torque transmission means (59, 81) and are joined by means for fastening in an axial direction (42). Any clearance in a fit portion of the torque transmission means (59, 81) is prevented by a play prevention member (82).
    Also disclosed is a wheel bearing device comprising a hub ring (41), a double-row bearing (42) and a constant velocity joint (43) which are united together. One of a double-row of inner raceways (44, 45) of the bearing (42) being formed on a joint outer ring (51) of the constant velocity joint (43). The joint outer ring (51) is fitted onto the hub ring (41) with a torque transmission means (59, 81) being provided in between, and the hub ring (41) and the joint outer ring (51) are joined together by plastic deformation.
