A recessed portion (29) is formed in a bottom portion (18) of the outer joint member (11), and an embedded stopper (28) that enters the recessed portion (29) of the outer joint member (11) is mounted to a shaft end portion (24) of the shaft (15) opposed to the recessed portion (29). The embedded stopper (28) is allowed to interfere with the recessed portion (29) of the outer joint member (11) at an angle that is smaller than an incorporating angle of the balls (13) and larger than a maximum operating angle during use of the joint.

The venting element (40) is disposed within said opening (33). The shaft (4) is received in the opening (33), and the rim (34) is mounted to the shaft by means of a circular clamp (22). The venting element (40) is thus retained in place between the shaft (4) and the rim (34) and allows any air accumulated inside a CV joint enclosure (28) formed by the gaiter (6) when the gaiter (6) is mounted to the shaft (4) to vent axially according to a direction substantially parallel to the shaft longitudinal axis. The venting element (40) comprises a gas-permeable liquid-impermeable membrane (41).

The stopper is inserted into the hollow shaft section of the outer joint member until the fixed type constant velocity universal joint is mounted to a joint mounting device after the plurality of torque transmitting balls are incorporated and then the shaft is mounted to the fixed type constant velocity universal joint.

    摘要: Die Erfindung geht aus von einem Gleichlaufgelenk mit integralem Gelenkinnenteil, bestehend aus einem Gelenkaußenteil (1) mit inneren Kugelbahnen, einem Gelenkinnenteil (2) mit den inneren Kugelbahnen zugeordneten äußeren Kugelbahnen und aus in einem Kugelkäfig (3) gehaltenen Kugeln (4), wobei das Gelenkaußenteil (1) mit einem Anschlussteil verbindbar und auf der diesem Anschlussteil zugewandten Seite mit einem Verschlussdeckel (7) abgedichtet ist und das Gelenkinnenteil (2) als ein integrales, mit einem Wellenstück (5) zerstörungsfrei unlösbar verbundenes Gelenkinnenteil (6) ausgebildet und diesseitig mittels eines flexiblen Dichtelements (10) zum Gelenkaußenteil (1) hin abgedichtet ist.
    Erfindungsgemäß ist das integrale Gelenkinnenteil (6) an seinem freien, aus dem Dichtelement (10) herausragenden Ende mit einem Schweißansatz (15) zur Aufnahme eines Adapters (16) versehen. Der Außendurchmesser dieses Schweißansatzes (15) ist größer als der kleinste Außendurchmesser des integralen Gelenkinnenteils (6). Das integrale Gelenkinnenteil (6) ist gehärtet.
    Nach dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren wird das Dichtelement (10) über das freie Ende des integralen Gelenkinnenteils (6) aufgezogen und mit dem Gelenkaußenteil (1) verbunden. Abschließend wird der Adapter (16) im Bereich des Schweißansatzes (15) mit dem integralen Gelenkinnenteil (6) verschweißt.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a method of producing an outer joint member, comprising thermally treating three-track grooves provided on an inner circumference of an outer joint member for a constant velocity universal joint by using a high-frequency heat treatment coil. The constant velocity universal joint is of a tripod type constant velocity universal joint. The track grooves extend in an axial line direction. Each of the track grooves comprises the guide surfaces opposed to each other and a large inner diameter section formed between the guide surfaces. The high-frequency heat treatment coil comprises a body section, wherein the body section comprises three heating sections including a pair of vertical frames, three upper frames connecting upper portions of the vertical frames, and three lower frames connecting lower portions of the vertical frames. The body section further comprises an upper opening opposed to the large inner diameter section, and a lower opening opened in an axial direction, wherein the body section being machined in an integrated manner. The upper opening is covered by a cover member and the lower opening is also covered by a cover member. The guide surfaces and the large inner diameter section in the vicinity of the guide surfaces being thermally treated by the vertical frames of the three heating sections.

The cup member (12a) has a bottomed cylindrical shape that is opened at one end, and includes a cylindrical portion (12a1), a bottom portion (12a2), and a short shaft section (12a3) of a solid shaft shape protruding from the bottom portion (12a2) and having a joining end surface (50) formed at an end portion. The shaft member (13a) has a solid shaft shape and has a joining end surface (51) at one end. The joining end surface (50) of the cup member (12a) and the joining end surface (51) of the shaft member (13a) are brought into abutment against each other, and a high energy intensity beam is radiated from an outer side in a radial direction to form a welded portion (49). A structure of a molten metal at the welded portion (49) is in a mixed phase of ferrite and granular cementite. With this, a crack is prevented at a welded portion of an outer joint member of a constant velocity universal joint in which a cup member and a shaft member are welded.
