Abstract:
There is provided a communication for transmitting a first stream (intermittent data section) for burst-transmitting a packet set and a second stream (continuous data section) for transmitting a packet at a speed based on the transmission speed required for service. Upon selection of a service, a second stream for the selected service is received and reproduced until the intermittent data transmitted in the first stream is received. When transmission of the intermittent data on the selected service is started in the first stream, reception and reproduction of the first stream are started.
Abstract:
The present invention realizes electronic commerce by providing a portable terminal (501). The portable terminal comprises a receiver, a barcode former, a display (590) and a detector (725). The receiver receives data representing product information and service information. The barcode former forms barcode data, based on the data received, the barcode data including a plurality of display barcodes, information defining the display order of the barcodes and information representing an end of the display of the plurality of display barcodes. The display (590) displays the barcode data generated by the barcode former. The detector (725) detects light or a signal from a barcode reader (708). The detection result of the detector influences the switching of the display from the currently displayed barcode to the display barcode next in the display order. The barcode reader is provided at a shop terminal etc. to read one of the plurality of barcodes.
Abstract:
The time slice system has a problem that, since data is burst transmitted, a wait time occurs, during tuning, until a reproduction of a service starts, with the result that zapping cannot be smoothly performed. In order to solve this problem, a first stream for burst transmitting a packet set and a second stream for continuously transmitting a packet at a rate suitable for a transmission rate required for a service are multiplexed with each other and then transmitted. During zapping, the second stream, which is constantly transmitted, is used to reproduce the contents, and after a completion of the zapping, the first stream, in which the packet is burst transmitted, is reproduced.
