    摘要: A battery control apparatus for a hybrid powered vehicle mounted with an engine and a motor comprises a battery set for supplying electricity to said motor (36), having a plurality of battery blocks connected in series, each of said battery blocks containing a predetermined number of battery cells; a generator (32) which is driven by said engine (30) and supplies electricity to said battery set (10): an SOC detection device (14) for detecting SOC of the battery set (10); a control device (46) for controlling, in accordance with an SOC detected in said SOC detection device (14), the supply of electricity to the motor (36) from said battery set (10) and the generation of electricity in the generator (32); and an overdischarge detection device (14, S14) for detecting an existence of an overdischarge cell in a battery block based on a detection of a voltage difference between battery blocks. Said control device (16) controls the supply of electricity to the motor (36) and the generation of electricity in the generator (32) when an overdischarged cell is detected by said overdischarge detection device (14, S14) such that charging of said battery set (10) is effectuated.

The ratio of the component resistance including the connecting resistance between the cells to the reactive resistance of the electrode plate group and the electrolyte in each cell, is set in the range of 1:99 - 40:60 at a temperature of 25°C. Thereby, the internal resistance per cell is reduced, and higher power output and improved service life characteristics are achieved.

    摘要: The temperature of a battery (50) is supervised by temperature sensor (74). When the temperature of the battery is not higher than a predetermined temperature, a battery ECU (68) issues a command to a control CPU (56) to perform forcible charge/discharge of the battery (50) to raise the temperature of the battery. When raising of the temperature is performed by charging, a requested output from the engine (10) is enlarged as compared with a usual state. Thus, motor-generators (26, 28) are operated as generators so as to generate electric power. Thus, electric power is charged to the battery so as to pass an electric current. When raising of the temperature is performed by discharging, the requested output from the engine (10) is reduced as compared with the usual state. Thus, the motors/generator (28) is operated as a motor to consume electric power so as to pass an electric current. The electric current allowed to flow at this time causes internal resistance to be generated in the battery so as to heat the battery from the inside portion thereof. Thus, an apparatus for controlling a charge/discharge state of a hybrid car structured to be capable of quickly and easily controlling the temperature of the battery to a predetermined temperature can be provided.
