Said alarm interval can also be adapted according to signal parameters. An upper and lower limit are set for both alarm interval and alarm threshold, in order to incorporate a certain security, such that the alarm interval and alarm threshold do not adopt values which would put a functioning of the fire alarm at risk. Several sensor signals may be used, whereby the signal parameters are then generated by linking the sensor signals. A light-scattering smoke detector, fitted with a labyrinth and a detector chamber is preferably used.
