摘要: A sheet conveyance guide is configured of separation claws for separating the paper from a conveyer and transfer belt and a movable sheet guide for guiding the paper to a fixer entrance sheet guide. The separation claws are arranged on the upstream side of the movable sheet guide. The movable sheet guide is rotatable about a pivot shaft with its distal end abutted by gravity upon the upstream end part of the fixer entrance sheet guide.
The separation claws and movable sheet guide are axially supported so as to rotate on pivots.

摘要: Deteriorating developer including toner and carrier in a developer container (16) is replaced by supplying carrier developer including carrier from a developer supply unit (20) and discharging an amount of the deteriorated developer corresponding to the amount of the supplied carrier developer through a discharge opening (24) formed in the developer container (16) by opening a cover. The cover is driven by a solenoid for discharging. With this structure, even when the amount of developer in the developer container is changed and the surface level of the developer is changed, a predetermined amount of deteriorated developer is accurately discharged according to the driving of the cover. It is thus possible to control in a desired manner the replacement ratio of deteriorated developer in the developer container to new developer to be supplied. With this configuration, it is possible to maintain the charge of developer substantially uniform and good image quality of copies. Furthermore the developing device is provided with developer accumulating means (35) for accumulating a predetermined amount of deteriorated developer discharged discharged through said discharge opening (24) and the supply and discharge of developer is controlled according to the copy count accumulated by a copy counter or by the total drive time time of a developing roller or an agitating member.

摘要: An image forming apparatus has a photoreceptor drum (15) whereon a toner image is to be formed, a transfer drum (11) for transferring the toner image to a transfer material (P) by making the transfer material contact with the photoreceptor drum, the transfer drum having a dielectric layer (28), semiconducting layer (27) and conducting layer (26) laminated in this order from a surface which comes into contact with the transfer material, a power source section (32) for applying any voltage to the conducting layer, and a grounded conducting roller (12) which is located in an upstream section in a transfer material transporting direction with respect to a transfer position on a surface of the dielectric layer and comes into contact with the dielectric layer surface through the transfer material. The volume resistivity of the dielectric layer is not lower than 40 percent of the volume resistivity of the semiconducting layer. In this structure, a current component flowing in the circuit is greater than a current component causing the dielectric layer to function as a power source, thereby accumulating charges on the dielectric layer. As a result, stable adhesion of the transfer material to the transfer drum, and improved image quality are achieved.
