    摘要: The invention relates to a method for processing a continuously cast material, wherein the material is divided into individual units (2), in particular slabs, after the continuous casting in a continuous casting plant (1), wherein the units (2) are passed to a storage location (3) and, after a storage period, are transported from the storage location to a machining or treatment device (4) and are machined or treated there. In order to further machine or further process individual slabs in an ideal manner, according to the invention the temperature (T) or the temperature distribution is recorded at least at one location (5) for at least a number of units (2), wherein a thermal substitution model (6) is provided for the unit (2) in a computer (7) and the recorded temperature (T) or temperature distribution at the at least one location (5) is passed to the substitution model (6) as a constraint for the unit (2), wherein the further temperature gradation of the unit (2) is calculated by means of the thermal substitution model (6) at least for a period of time and is used as a basis for the subsequent machining or treatment of the unit (2).
