    摘要： There is disclosed a herbicidal composition comprising as active ingredients a herbicidally effective amount of (a) an iminothiazoline compound of the formula:

    wherein R¹ is halogen, halo(C₁-C₂)alkyl, halo(C₁-C₂)alkoxy or halo(C₁-C₂)alkylthio; R² is C₁-C₂ alkyl, chlorine, bromine or iodine; R³ is C₁-C₆ alkyl, C₃-C₆ cycloalkyl, C₃-C₆ cycloalkoxy or C₁-C₆ alkoxy, all of which are optionally substituted with at least one substituent selected from halogen, C₁-C₂ alkyl and C₁-C₂ alkoxy; R⁴ is hydrogen or halogen; and (b) at least one of herbicidal triazine compounds, herbicidal uracil compounds, herbicidal urea compounds, herbicidal dinitro aniline compounds, norflurazon, dimetazon, imazaquin and imazetapia. Also disclosed is a method for controlling undesired weeds by use of the herbicidal composition.

    wherein R 1 represents various organic groups defined in the description; Z represents an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom or NR 17 in which R 17 represents a hydrogen atom or a C 1 -C 3 alkyl group; R 2 , R 3 and R 4 independently represent a C 1 -C 3 alkyl group, a C 1 -C 3 haloalkyl group, a halogen atom or a hydrogen atom, provided that R 2 , R 3 and R 4 do not simultaneously represent a hydrogen atom; r represents an integer of 0 to 2; and X represents a halogen atom. These compounds are endowed with insecticidal activity. Intermediate compounds for the preparation of the above compounds are also provided.
