In this case, before the melt is charged onto the casting belt, a coating composition consisting of a carrier liquid with additives incorporated therein is applied to that side of the casting belt which comes into contact with the melt, and, before the melt is charged, said coating composition is dried and is then integrally combined with the charged melt.
