    摘要: The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a clad material which is composed of a core material and two or more skin materials which are superposed on either one or both faces of the core material, the method of manufacturing the clad material comprising: a core material preparation process (S1a) where an ingot for core material is manufactured by dissolving and casting a metal for core material; a skin material preparation process (S1b,S1c) where an ingot for skin material is manufactured by dissolving and casting a metal for skin material different from the metal for core material in their component compositions; a rolled plate for skin material preparation process (S1c) where a rolled plate for skin material is manufactured by further hot-rolling the ingot for skin material; a superposition process (S2b) where a superposed material is manufactured by superposing the ingot for skin material and the rolled plate for skin material are superposed as skin materials at a predetermined position on either one or both faces of the ingot for core material; and a clad hot-rolling process (S3) where a clad material is manufactured by hot-rolling the superposed material.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for casting metals in a DC mold to form an ingot having at least two layers formed by sequential solidification. The apparatus has at least one cooled divider wall at the entry end portion of the mold to divide the entry end portion into at least two feed chambers. Metal is fed to the chambers to form an inner layer and at least one outer layer. The divider wall has a metal-contacting surface for contacting the metal for the at least one outer layer, the surface being arranged at an angle to the vertical sloping away from the metal for the outer layer in a downward direction. The angle increases at positions on the divider wall spaced from a central section of the wall approaching each longitudinal end thereof. The apparatus is suitable for casting a metal having a high coefficient of contraction as an inner layer or core ingot.
