    摘要: There is provided a method of transmitting power control information to a BSC (Base Station Controller) in a BTS (Base station Transceiver System) of a mobile communication system. The BTS receives forward power control (FPC) mode information indicating a low power control from the BSC and transmits the FPC mode information to an MS (Mobile Station). Then, the BTS extracts a QIB (Quality Indicator Bit) that is a power control command in a frame period from a reverse pilot channel received from the MS according to the FPC mode information and determines the status of the QIB. The BTS transmits information requesting the BSC to change a threshold for a power control on a forward DCCH (Dedicated Control Channel) based on the determined QIB status to the BSC.

    摘要: Disclosed is a method for transmitting a signal from a base station transceiver system (BTS) to a base station controller (BSC) when there is no data transmitted from a mobile station while in discontinuous transmission (DTX) mode, in a mobile communication system. The mobile communication system includes a mobile station for transmitting and receiving data in a predetermined period, a base station transceiver system and a base station controller for controlling the base station transceiver system. Upon detection of the discontinuous transmission mode, it is determined what type of frame was last transmitted from the mobile station, and the present power control information is set according to the type of frame. If it is a null frame, the base station transceiver system sets previous power control information that the base station transceiver system has used for power control of the mobile station before detection of discontinuous transmission mode, to present power control information. Thereafter, the base station transceiver system transmits a reverse message including the present power control information to the base station controller over a dedicated control channel. If there is data being transmitted between the mobile station and the base station transceiver system at the time where the discontinuous transmission mode is detected, the previous power control information is set to the present power control information.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a subscriber station security-related parameter negotiation method in a wireless portable Internet system. The subscriber station security-related parameter negotiation method includes security-related parameters in transmitting/receiving basic capability negotiation request messages and basic capability negotiation response messages such that the subscriber station and the base station negotiate the subscriber station security-related parameters. The security-related parameters include an authorization policy support subfield used to negotiate an authorization policy between the subscriber station and the base station, and message authentication code mode subfields used to negotiate a message authentication code mode. The base station can inform the subscriber station that authentication or message authentication is not performed and is omitted according to a service provider policy by writing it on the authorization policy support subfield or message authentication code mode subfield. In addition, the subscriber station and the base station can select an authorization policy formed with at least one combination through the authorization policy support subfield of the security negotiation parameters. According to the present invention, the service provider of the wireless portable Internet system can more efficiently and flexibly manage the system by providing a scheme for omitting an authentication function and a message authentication function as well as for supporting various authorization policies and message authentication functions.
