摘要: An electronic device can include detectors for altering the presentation of data on one or more displays. In a wearable electronic device, a flexible housing can be configured to enfold about an appendage of a user, such as a user's wrist. A display can disposed along a major face of the flexible housing. A control circuit can be operable with the display. A gaze detector can be included to detect a gaze direction, and optionally a gaze cone. An orientation detector can be configured to detect an orientation of the electronic device relative to the user. The control circuit can alter a presentation of data on the display in response to a detected gaze direction, in response to detected orientation of the wearable electronic device relative to the user, in response to touch or gesture input, or combinations thereof. Secondary displays can be hingedly coupled to the electronic device.

摘要: A mobile device includes a touch screen display and touch screen circuit for receiving touch inputs. A camera configured to acquire one or more images in front of the display. A proximity sensor configured to provide an indication that a user is in close proximity to the touch screen display. A processor being effective to determine, in response to the indication of the proximity sensor, whether the user is in a position to view the display based on the one or more images of the camera. If the proximity sensor provides an indication that the user is in close proximity to the display and the processor determines, based on the one or more images, that the user is in a position to view the display, then at least one of the display and the touch screen circuit are not disabled.

摘要: According to an embodiment, a terminal and a method of displaying menu icons thereof are discussed, by which a terminal user is facilitated to input various commands. An embodiment of the present invention includes a touch screen and a control unit configured to control at least one touch-available icon to move between outer and inner areas of an image displayed on the touch screen in a direction of a touch-drag on the touch screen. Accordingly, the electric current for detecting a touch is supplied to the touch screen only if the touch-available icon is displayed on the touch screen. Hence, the present invention minimizes power consumption in using the touch screen.

摘要: The disclosed embodiments provide a system that monitors a battery in a portable electronic device. During operation, the system monitors a state of charge of the battery while the battery is powering the portable electronic device. Next, when the state of charge of the battery reaches a predetermined reserve capacity, the system monitors a voltage of the battery. Then, when the monitored voltage of the battery reaches a predetermined termination voltage, the system puts the portable electronic device into a low power usage state.

摘要: Embodiments of the disclosure describe on-head detection processes for HMD devices that include at least one lens, an optical sensor positioned in front of the lens to detect light reflected from the lens, at least one image source positioned in front of the lens, and a frame assembly to support the lens and the image source for wearing on a head of the user, wherein the frame assembly comprises a flexible frame assembly to flex such that the optical sensor moves closer to the at least one lens when the HMD is worn by the user. In some embodiments, the optical sensor is positioned to also detect a reflected light from the user's face. The light received by the optical sensor is stronger when the user is wearing the HMD, and thus embodiments determine whether the user is wearing the HMD based on the optical sensor data.
