    摘要: A method for assigning orthogonal codes used for a first system and a second system in a CDMA system including channels of the first system for spreading a pilot signal, a sync signal, a paging signal and a traffic signal with a first set of orthogonal codes corresponding to orthogonal code numbers in different rows from a set of orthogonal codes arranged in a matrix of m rows and m columns, and channels of the second system for spreading a second set of orthogonal codes corresponding to orthogonal code numbers different from said orthogonal code numbers for the first set of orthogonal codes. The orthogonal codes for the second system are transmitted at a data rate higher than a data rate of the first system. The method comprises the steps of: assigning orthogonal codes corresponding to the orthogonal code numbers of the orthogonal code set associated with at least one of 2n rows to the channels of the first system, wherein a set of the orthogonal codes are arranged in a matrix of subsets of orthogonal codes and inversed orthogonal codes, each subset including 2n rows and 2n columns; and assigning orthogonal codes corresponding to the orthogonal code numbers of the orthogonal code set associated with at least one of the remaining rows to the second system.

    摘要: A synchronization (sync) code communication device for an CDMA communication system. A base station sync code transmission device comprises a primary sync code transmitter and a secondary sync code transmitter. The primary sync code transmitter is for generating and then transmitting a primary sync code at a first location in a transmission frame. The primary sync code is for acquiring synchronization at a starting point of a frame and the frame is equal to one period of a spreading code. The secondary sync code transmitter is for generating and then transmitting a secondary sync code at a second location in a frame. The secondary sync codes are assigned to base station groups, one to a group. A mobile station sync code receiving device comprises a primary sync code acquisition decider and a base station group decider. The primary sync code acquisition decider is for acquiring a primary sync code received at a first location in a frame, and then acquiring synchronization at a starting point of a frame. The base station group decider is enabled upon acquisition of the primary sync code, receives a secondary sync code transmitted at a second location in the frame, and then determines the base station group to which the transmitting base station belongs.

    摘要: There is provided an encoding apparatus and method in a CDMA communication system. To encode input information of a k-bit sequence and generate a codeword with length N>(2 k -1), an encoder encodes the input information using an (r, k) simplex code and generates a sequence of code symbols of length r (r=2 k -1), a repeater repeats the sequence of code symbols t times ( t = ⌊ N r ⌋ + 1 ) , and a puncturer performs puncturing A times (A=rt-N) on the t repeated code symbol sequences so that the resulting codes have length N. The punctured symbols are distributed uniformly across the repeated code symbol sequences or confined to the t th repeated code symbol sequence.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for allocating a channel and power by a Base Station (BS) in a communication system are provided. The method includes, performing one of a first scheduling, which uses inter-cell cooperation information received from at least one neighboring BS and a data rate received from each User Equipment (UE), and a second scheduling, which uses both an average data rate for each subchannel computed by accumulating the data rates for a preset time period and the inter-cell cooperation information, selecting a UE to be allocated each subchannel in each subframe based on results of the performed scheduling, computing a power metric for each of the selected UE and a non-selected UE by using the inter-cell cooperation information, the average data rate, an amount of performance change of the selected UE, and the results of the performed scheduling; and allocating power to all UEs including the selected UE and the non-selected UE by preset subframe periods by using the computed power metric.
