    Abstract: The invention discloses a high-capacity cylindrical lithium ion battery. Tab-position end faces are shaped; a high frequency oscillation and pressure are applied on to make the foil bodies softened in the scope of 0.1-6.5 mm. The foil bodies of the anode and cathode are entangled together and compressed. Increase in weight and density of the foil bodies in a unit volume and increase in rigidity of the compressed foil bodies of the tab-position end faces lays a foundation and to enlarge the effective welding area and improve the welding strength of the laser welding between the tab-position end faces and the collector plates. The foil bodies in the prior art are cut into strips and easy to break by pulling when welded on the collector plates, and bear small currents. The invention achieves a great improvement in comparison with the prior art.
