    摘要： Provided is a shoe upper for which a sewing operation is easy and that is superior in productivity. A shoe upper (1) includes a heel knitted fabric (10) that is formed in a shape such that it wraps around a portion ranging from the Achilles tendon to the heel of a wearer, and a body knitted fabric (11) that constitutes the portion of the shoe upper (1) other than the heel knitted fabric (10). The shoe upper (1) further includes a toe side joint portion (13) that retains a shape of a front end portion of the body knitted fabric (11) such that it wraps around the toes of the wearer. A first line (L1) obtained by bringing a left edge portion (11a) and a right edge portion (11b), in the knitting width direction, of the body knitted fabric (11) into butting contact with each other, and a second line (L2) obtained by folding a set up portion (10s) of the heel knitted fabric (10) into two portions so that the two portions butt against each other are in one straight line. The first line and the second line are formed at positions on the sole cover (2).

    摘要： A tubular knitted fabric including an oblique annular elastic knitted fabric portion, the tubular knitted fabric capable of effectively contracting in a circling direction of the elastic knitted fabric portion, and a knitting method of the same are provided. The tubular knitted fabric is knitted using a flat knitting machine having at least a pair of needle beds extending in a transverse direction and disposed opposite to each other in a cross direction. The tubular knitted fabric includes an annular elastic knitted fabric portion 20 formed in a direction inclined with respect to an axial direction of the tubular knitted fabric; a first base knitted fabric portion 11 joined to a stitch row lined on one end side in an axial direction of the elastic knitted fabric portion 20; and a second base knitted fabric portion 12 joined to a stitch row of another end side in the axial direction of the elastic knitted fabric portion 20. The elastic knitted fabric portion 20 includes a course along a circling direction thereof.

The knitted fabric includes: a passage location (7) at which stitches (4a to 4d) of the n-th knitting course (4A) of the second knitted fabric portion (4) are passed through gaps between stitches in the first knitted fabric portion (2) from one surface side to the other surface side, so that the up and down positions in the thickness direction of the first knitted fabric portion (2) and the second knitted fabric portion (4) are reversed with respect to each other. Furthermore, a terminal portion (4y) of the second knitted fabric portion (4) is subjected to an unravel treatment in the vicinity of the passage location at which the second knitted fabric portion (4) is passed through the first knitted fabric portion (2), so that the first knitted fabric portion (2) and the second knitted fabric portion (4) are joined to each other at the passage location (7). Here, the gaps are each surrounded by two adjacent stitches (2a and 2b through 2d and 2e) in the m-th knitting course (2A) of the first knitted fabric portion (2), a sinker loop that connects the adjacent stitches, and a sinker loop in the (m+1)-th knitting course (2B).
