摘要: A method for operating a controller (106) of an apparatus (104) on a pipeline (110), the method comprising receiving with a control system (130) a measurement signal from a measuring system (120) in communication with a pipeline, the pipeline having an outer pipe structure and a liner therewithin, the liner comprising a first layer comprising a hollow cylinder of polymeric material, a second layer comprising wrap material, the wrap material wrapped around the first layer, a third layer comprising wrap material wrapped around the second layer, the third layer at an angle to the second layer, the liner having a first end spaced apart from a second end, at least one strengthener member on the liner and extending from the first end to the second end of the liner, the liner comprising a stand-alone structure, at least one fiber optic cable (114) extending along the liner, and a protective cover on and around the liner., the measuring system (120) receiving signals from the at least one fiber optic cable indicative of any of temperature within and strain on the pipeline, controlling the controller (106) with the control system (130) in response to the measurement signal.
